Words from the craftswoman

Wear your bravery gently on the outside with this stunning statement necklace, lovingly handcrafted to honour your courage. Made from 100% recycled metals (copper, silver and brass) this necklace features hand-cut and polished small squares of metal (approximately 1cmx1cm) linked together with silver and each textured individually. The Copper squares represent mother earth (Papatūānuku), red and organic as the very earth. The Silver squares are textured to reflect the light and represent sky father (Ranganui) and the starlight he shines for us. In between are the polished brass squares, each one stamped with a beautiful and delicate spiral (a koru) representing new life and beginnings. These golden coloured squares represent the first light upon the earth as sky father and earth mother were separated from their eternal lover's embrace. The necklace sits comfortably upon the collar bone with a silver chain finish. About this collection: The Warrior “Where there is a will, there is a way” Be strong, be brave, be steadfast. This is the mantra of the warrior. I am not fearless, but simply choose to fear less. I invoke the mana of my ancestors, the courage in my heart which cannot be released without the collision with fear. I will fight for what I believe in, for my family and those that I love and I will be relentless in the pursuit of my passions. I am not merely a fighter. No, I can only be truly brave when I choose to risk something, something precious. Real courage comes from seeking to present my truth to the world, to shine a light on the real soul purpose that rages beneath the surface. True bravery requires compassion, grace, patience and a never-ending commitment to growth. I understand that the mighty and the meek are two sides of the same soul. That balance is the most precious gemstone in the entire crown. The warrior will willingly bow her head and admit her weaknesses because she knows that within that moment, her true strength is having compassion and patience for herself! I believe in letting go, allowing flow and only then can I truly grow I am the warrior
